So yesterday, as you know, I was feeling kind of disheartened about my workouts so far. I felt like they weren't doing much. I wasn't seeing the progress I thought I should. Well, I don't like problems that have no solutions, so I researched the topic, and it turns out that the Wii Fit isn't that great for losing weight exercises. I mean it has a wide range of exercises, and I did sweat, but here is the thing. I was never sore the next day from the Wii Fit exercises. While I think it's a great product, I thought that I might have been needing a little more oomf! in the workouts. Thus, I went out and got:
Ea Active. Now THIS is how you work out on the Wii. While Wii Fit is great for getting you up and moving, the menu system, and the inability to schedule your workouts so that you go right from one to the next without stopping stops it from being what it could have been. I think they are correcting the later in Wii Fit + later this year. EA Active, However has this functionality now, and a 30 day challenge mode that will give you ever increasing workouts over a period of time as the game measures your progress, and how much it thinks you can take. I started a 30 day challenge, and the first workout nearly floored me. I felt like I'd come back from the gym. The game comes with a pouch that you put on your leg to better measure your leg movements, and a resistance band, but I might go and get a higher resistance one at Wal-Mart, since it didn't add much resistance for me. So, if you really want to start sweating I recommend this game.
I also changed the name of this series, since I'm not just using WiiFit exclusively any more.

I cant wait to read all about how this goes!!!!
Sounds like a great game! And I'm sorry.. but I'm just NOT brave enough for the before/after shots!! Haha... but we can try to keep each other motivated. :)
Looks like we'll both be doing 30 day challenges of sorts. Good luck!
